My friend just got his B16 CRX together and he is having problems. It is a first gen with CTR pistons and Topline bearings. The head and deck were not milled and he is using a PR3 computer. First problem, the car will throw a code 21 (VTEC solenoid malfunction) after about 1 minute of idling. The wire for the solenoid is wired up correctly. The solenoid will click when you put 12v to it but you have to wait about 10sec for it to do it again, this is with the motor off. Problem two, when you wire 12v to the solenoid with the motor at about 2500-3000 is will sputter and want to die. Problem three, high idle. The car will idle smoothly at 2k and will not go lower with the adjustment screw. Throttle cable has slack and there are no vacuum leaks. Problem four, I think, the valve cover breather sucks air in. I always thought there should be a small amount blowing out, correct me if I'm wrong. Any help is appreciated
