Default B16 with more displacment?

if i bored out a b16a Sir2 to be a 1.8 liter, what hp and torque would it have? could it still maintain a 1.74 r/s ratio? what r/s ratio would i get? how close would this engine be to an c1 block? would making more displacement in a b16a compare to a c1 that already has the 1.8L? would it just be cheaper to buy a new block instead of making my b16 a bigger bore?

b18's make their dispacement through stroke (they have the same bore as b16) so to get 1.8 liters out of a b16 block you would need a bore of about 86mm give or take a tenth. this is possible with sleeving. what you would have is a motor with less initial torque than a b18 but a much higher revving potential (given the stroke) even though the big bore short stroke setup is better suited for revving this particular motor would need some serious preventative measures to be taken, the cylinders would be pretty thin at 86mm bore and the main caps are not reinforced from the factory like the b18c's (girdle) . the bottom end would be prone to distortion at high revs, however it is not impossible given the right steps are taken. if you're serious then do a lot of research and i'm sure you'll come up with a potent setup.
