I was wondering if anybody knew what the deck height of a b16 and b17 were? Basically im lookin for an alternative to an ls vtec. I have heard that both had the same deck height, if so ill get a b16 block and put the b17 crank in with overbored pistons. If not any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

I switched out the blocks in my del sol, I'm pretty sure they are the same.

Yes they are exactly the same. Search - B17 - in archived topics and look for katmans posts

 

b16 and b17 are 263 mm's, all other b's are 270mm.
