B15b swap issues.Please help!
Alright guys I recently blew a ring on my 2000 civic with a d16 motor. So I went to my local Jdm and got a new one however stupid me noticed halfway through that they had given a d15b non vtec. Figured might not be a problem so I went through with it I'm not looking to build a race car anyway just an economic daily. there were 2 things I had to change distributor and made a bigger hole for the 2nd o2 sensor started it up and all seemed fine until I went to go drive, it takes a long time to accel I have to rev up to about 3000 rpm to take off normally. I changed the injectors, fuel pressure regulator, and throttle body I'm running out of ideas
... I'm really really hoping I don't have to swap the ecu and wire harness as well but I do have it worse case. Also I had a mechanic change the timing belt and water pump on it maybe he didn't time it properly?

I'm pretty sure obd2 has them,
Ecu is your likely cause. I know you can mess with the ecu and disable the crank on a p72 not sure about others.
If not, You will either have to get an obd1 ecu and a obd2to obd1 adaptor or get a d16 vtec if you can return the d15.

There is a trick to defeat the need for the crank sensor.

Thanks a lot guys the mechanic still has my car but I might stop by tomorrow and try the wire splicing if that fails I'll reconnect everything back to normal and just get an adapter since I have the ecu already. fingers crossed!
So I finally found time to go check up on my car he is going to check the timing today and I asked him about the crank sensor he said he took the one from my original motor and put it on this one so if it's not the timing that's off I'm left clueless
