Default b-series water pump install

Anyone know of any online article/how-tos on how to change a water pump?

Anyone knowledgable about this topic and would like to give some pointers? I'm planning to change my timing belt and would also like to get the water pump out of the way...

TIA

When you've got your timing belt off you just pull out the bolts for the pump. It's really easy. But make sure you know which one goes where, since some of them are longer and it's easy to snap them off inside the block (ask me how I know). Seriously though, it takes like 5 mins... just make sure to clean off the surfaces and use RTV sealant when installing the new one

All you have to do is loosen a couple 10mm bolts. Some are different lengths so keep track of that.

Drain the coolant first and don't over torque and always use a phosphate silicate free ant-freeze and you'll be all set.

whatever u do, do not get a BOSCH water pump!!! i did my timing belt & water pump at the same time also. when i put everything on, the belt was loose, tensioner was all the way up too. i couldnt figure it out. i thought maybe i got the wrong belt, compared it w/ the old one and even counted all the teeth. the new cam gears maybe, but those were right too.
then i counted the teeth on the Bosch water pump: 19. dug the old one outta the trash: 22. even the gear was smaller. anywayz to bosch. thats what i get for trying to save $10

The store gave you the wrong water pump. LS/B20's are 19T and Vtecs are 22T. I always use the Vtec pumps because I like the slower water pump speeds.

Thanks for all the responses guys...

Are there any small parts internal when take the water pump out? Or is the pump just one whole unit I can just pull out and pop in the new one?
