Default B series valve train question

I've got some questions and hopefully someone can help.

1) are aftermarket bronze valve guides compatible with stock valves?
2) are stock valve guides compatible with say the Supertec valves or any aftermarket valves for that matter.
3) I am pretty sure they are, but B16a and B18C5 components are compatible correct?

I'm building my head, but I am thinking I will be running OEM seats, retainers, ITR springs, aftermarket guides and valves. reason for mostly OEM items is that I am wanting something that would last 100K...

thanks,
-S

A man i'm in the same hole you are in....

I'm building up my head with, skunk springs, retainers,And vavles...

And i also want to replace my valve guides but wondering if i can use those same valve guides.

Are you using your stock spring seats?

Could we use are stock spring seats?

So far i have valve springs, retainers, valves and valve guides What am i missing?

Go skunk its just a lil more than honda ITR factory parts, i compared the two...

1. yes
2. yes
3. everything is the same except intake valves and LMAs

for an NA setup I would use ITR intake valves, stock exhaust valves, stock everything else.

So for a n/a setup with ctr or skunk cams you just recommend upgrading the the valves?

That does't sound safe

and why doesnt that sound safe??
If you mean i forgot springs, then sure you should get the proper springs
for the application, but springs werent part of the question here.

Well you guys have asked about valves, springs, retainers, and guides, but nobody has suggested the use of high lift/duration cams or raised redlines. If that's the case then the advice sgT gave you is spot on. Don't waste your time/money on skunk or any other valve trane if it's not required.

Actually my build would be for FI.

I'll be running stock everything except for the valve guides and vavles.

I would be running GSR cams.

I just thought of another question:
Are 12 year old retainers and seats safe to reuse? I am more inclined to buying new ones at this point...
