Are all the gears of all Bseries motors interchangeable. For example, I have a LS tranny complete, but I have a full set of gears, synchros, etc from a GSR laying around. Can I put that in the LS tranny?

i think they are interchangeable. i'm not sure but i have heard that people mix the gears from the ls and gsr to give them better gearing.

 

i'm not sure if all of it is interchangable, and i'm not sure if all the gsr parts will fit into an ls housing, but i know some things can be swapped.

i know a couple of people who have taken j1/y1/s1 and ys1 vtec trannies, then pulled the 5th gear out and replaced it with the 5th gear from their ls tranny (ys1). Thus the 1st 4 gears are short gears for racing and such, while the 5th gear retains good gas mileage at high speeds like when you're on the freeway.

I only know this works with the b series cable trannies, i don't know much about the hydro ones.
