B-series question need help
I have a GSR block that I'm building and I'm trying to decide whether to go with a GSR crank and rods or LS crank and rods. What are the pros and cons or each? and what would i have to do to make the LS crank/rods fit or will they fit just like the GSR would?
If your using stock parts the gsr rods are better than the ls,but will only work with the gsr crank. The ls crank and rod will make slightly more displacement and will bolt right in (with slight bending of the piston oilers).
I wouldn't be using stock parts. I'm gunna use eagle rods either way. The motor is gunna be boosted. The block is gunna be bored to 84mm. So that would make it a 2.0L if I used the LS crank/rods right? Am I gunna see a noticeable difference in torque with the LS parts or should I just go with the GSR stuff? What would the difference be performance wise between using an LS crank/rods vs. GSR crank/rods?

I hope you are going with aftermarket sleves, or running really low boost with a really good tune.
yes I'm gunna use Darton 84mm M.I.D. sleeves. I was just wondering about the torque difference because of the slightly longer stroke with the LS crank I figured it would make more torque than with a GSR crank.
