B&M shifter, race or regular short shift?
so B&M apparently makes two different short shifters, the regular 24% throw reduction and the race 36% throw reduction
is that really much of a ddifference?
The race is MUCH more expensive
is it worth it?

the race version comes with a sealed bearing where the regular one makes you use the oem piece which will cause it to rattle whenever you are on the throttle. that's why I got rid of my B&M shifter
skunk2 dual bend for me

do you know if the B&M comes with a bushing? Cuz mine is completely shot.. thats one of the reasons I'm getting a short shifter... to replace the bushing

i Have B&M in my del sol.. i love it, it is the dual bend, so it is the shorter of the two..is does come with with new bushings, but you have to reuse the iner metal sleeve that is in the stock shifter make sure you clean that nice and lube the **** out of the little rubber bushings,, oh yeah alittle tip on gettin the two outer bushings on the that extension rod goes on, lube the hell out of them and they should stick to the side of the shifter and you can slide the rod right over them
Just get the new bushing that you need from Honda. I used to love short shifters but, now I hate them. I used to miss 2nd alot w/ every short shifter I tried. I now use OE shifters w/ hurst t-handles
never, ever miss a shift now.

My B&M I had in my EF was flawless everytime I shifted. I just got the shifter that uses the OE bushings and it worked great. I also teamed it up with the B&M Billet shift stabilizer (im not sure if they make it still). The shifts were really snappy.
But everyone is different....try it out for yourself and see if you like it...if not...sell it in the classifieds section.
