Default Axles won't come out!!

Hey, I got a 1998 Civic DX sedan, and I bought 2000 Si brakes to gain big fronts and 4 wheel disks. Did the back over x-mas and it was easy as pie, now doing the fronts since the weather is finally nice, got the axle nuts off, got EVERYTHING else off too, like upper a-arm, lower a-arm, radius rod... tie rod. It's litterally holding on by the god damned axle... I hammered (through a block of wood), I made a puller for it that attaches to 2 studs with lug nuts and it has a screw in the middle that pushes on the axle... no luck, the studs stripped. Any ideas?????

Try soaking the heck out of them with penetrating oil or WD40. Let them soak for a few hours. Then get a brass punch and a small sledge hammer and swing hard, just be careful not to mushroom the ends of the axles.

Thanks for the answers guys! I soaked for 3 days every day to no avail I hammered pretty hard, the block of wood just split (mushroomed). I'm at my wits end Today I have two things to try... I'm gonna strip the assembly down to just the hub (remove the caliper and rotor) and I'm gonna try a traditional 3 prong 7" puller on it. The other thing, is I'll buy an impact gun and get the lower ball joint off (it started turning with the ball joint). This, however, is NOT the reason it won't come out cuz the other end (lower A arm) is not at all attached to the chassis anymore. Like I said, the whole assembly is off, being held only by the axle. Any fresh ideas??

Never mind, no heating needed... I put the axle nut back on to protect the axle from the hammer, and just hammered away. Popped out eventually all in one peice. Thanx anyways...
