my passenger side axle seal is leaking, and leaks more when the car is on jacks how easy is this to fix. i can easily swap axles and things like that

 

Changing axles isn't that bad. The only part you have to worry about is taking out the ball joint. For some cars it's easy and on some its a PITA.

If you can take out axles you can do this. It will take you an extra 5 minutes to do this. Some tips:

1. If the seal gets misaligned, you can pop it out by prying behind it with a screwdriver. Dont' pull on the seal itself.

2. On my car (b-series) the first time, I pushed the seal in too far, and it started to leak again. Push it in so that the seal is flush with the transmission housing, no further. (Check Helm's for a good pic)

You can use a big fat socket or section of pipe to drive the seal into the transmission.
