Default Axle question

I will be putting in a new clutch and flywheel next weekend (finally, been waiting all summer) and I was wondering if I have to take the spindle nuts off both sides or just the passenger side. If I do, would this spindle nut be the same as those on any HONDA name vehicle (closest acura dealer is 120 miles, I REALLY REALLY want to get this on next weekend so I can possibly spend my last week of vacation out of town). I know I don't have to take the axles off, but the experience will be useful. My car is a 94' GS-R. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I've used a honda spindle nut on my xGSR. I don't know what car it is off of. I have also re-used the original, but I do not reccomend it......

32mm nut. Get a REAL BIG breaker bar or air tools are a must.

Its quite alright to reuse them, as long as you put them on tight you will be fine.

Does anyone know if I have to take the spindle nuts, ball joints, etc. off both sides or just the passenger side. I can't find anything that specifically says to do it either way in The Great Book of Knowledge. My sense tells me that I would have to take both sides off because it seems it would be a bitch trying to hammer the axle out of the drivers side when it's trapped between the differential and knuckle, but at the same time I don't want to do unnecessary work (from my observations people tend to have trouble removing the ball joints). I also want to be prepared. Thanks for the help so far.

Yes..you should do both sides.. If you try to do it with one side intact you will most likely end up seperating your axle from outboard/inboard joint.. thus blowing the thought of "unnecesary" work out the door.. and btw....don't hammer axles..they really don't like that when that happens...
