axle install problem...
i searched. and found PLENTY of axle problem threads, but have not come across the problem im having. passenger side axle btw. so i have to get the set ring to seat in the groove...and i know it takes awhile, and still havent got it in yet, but when its pushed in all the way, i think the ring is seated cuz its hard to pull back out but will come out with some force. but the main thing i wanted to know is that while its in there, i would turn the outboard joint, and the inner joint where it connects to the tranny just wobbleswhen spinning. like a tires lug nuts not tightened. as if its not the correct axle, or is stripped. but i know for a fact its the right axle. and the splines on both the diff and axle is good. so do i need to **** with it a little more or have i screwed something up which i doubt it.
im going to get a new set ring tomorrow n see if that works...but any help is needed.
THANKS

I had some axle problems when I put the B into my EF last week...
I think there should be 27 splines on the inboard joint. Count them to make sure. Are you sure the axles are from a 90-93 Integra or SiR axles? I'm just assuming that you are doing this to a B-Series car... If not, then I can't remember how many splines are on the D-Series transmissions.
If you put the axle in the transmission, does the joint itself move around and stuff, or is it like there is something inside the boot that is moving around? If there is something inside the boot, then you pulled the joint apart too far, and you'll need to pop off the boot at the big end, and push the 3 ball-like-thingies back into the cup, which isn't easy sometimes...
I have a feeling though, that you are trying to put a D-Series axle into a B-series transmission. Or maybe the differential is screwed where the axle meets the splines in the transmission. Have a peek inside and make sure you see some splines, and that they look like they are in good shape.
Hope this helps!
