I'm just curious here, but why does everyone converting either an Integra or Civic to AWD, cut and weld the trailing arms?

EG and DC trailing arms are the same, and the Integra XSi was available as RT-AWD. I would think just using the XSi trailing arms and rear subframe, would be all that necessary to mount the diff and axles back there.

I once asked about the integras, i was told they didnt do it.. But i do know for sure there was an EG shape, RTSi with the RT4WD system, but the parts and cars are rare- and i mean rare...

becuase 4wd civic wagons are common.....and integra xsi's were never over here......and instead of spending weeks online looking for one.....since we already know how to weld/fab its sooooo much eeaiser to just run a few beads

Here is the motor that I had built by PFI Speed in Ft Collins, CO. when i got it running it sounded like crap so I ended up taking it apart after 3000 miles. I found multiple problems. The two main problems were metal shavings and dirt imbedded in my bearings and a piston installed backwards so there was no clearance on the intake valves. Needless to say, I have rebuilt it myself since then.

Sorry for not posting in awhile. My dad died on the 17th so the car got put on that back burner.

Accord Wagovan VS. Civic brake pads.

That is all you need to do for poor mans big breaks. If you dont have 5 lug you can also redrill the rotors to 4 lug. You also need to have Civic EX with ABS or any 94 and up Integra knuckels. I also forgot to take pictures of the inside of the crv diff. I removed the cluchpak and welded the input shaft for a 50/50 torque split and welded the rear diff to help get the car to rotate. I wanted a lsd but no one makes one for the rear. Only Phantom Grip makes a psudo-LSD for the front diff.

Reading your post I can say that I am 99% sure that the shuttle trailing arms will fit direcly in 4th gen sedan I guess ... , so I will be happy to see one 4WD sedan that is not stock ... I guess that this will be easy conversion ...

Nice project... love the rear bracing.

How will the rear diff hold up to the increased power of a built b16 ?

I hope it holds. I dont think it will break too often. The rear end of the braile auto's drift Integra was set up the same way and he had a supercharged B18c. I think he had 280 hp going to just the rear wheels. My center diff if welded so it should have a 50/50 torque split so hopefully it can handle 550 hp (275 front/ 275rear).

The crv starter fit the transmission but it hit the block so I had to remove some metal from the starter.

They were made by GRP (local shop for us), they are essentially the same rods that are in Eggums Civic but made for his K24. They have the same rod journal size as the gsr but longer in length. Even with the huge stroke of the K24 crank these rods are still good up to 9500 rpm and 1200hp. These are great rods, just dont use them if your car is going to touch public roads; they have only a short lifespan.

I need help! Is there any one that knows of a company that makes a LSD for the front diff on the CRV tranny besides Phantom grip. I was thinking that the stock CRV diff has to be the same as a different more popular honda application. Any knowledge on this would be much apriciated.
