OK. I need to know which power wire every one usually taps into. I have tapped into the white wire off the ecu, tapped into a ground wire, and ran the red power wire to a 12 volt acc wire going to the radio. My result is that I get one blink of a red bar then it goes blank. I used those double wire spice crimps to connect with. Could it be a bad connection? Wrong power wire? Or what? I've re-checked the connections and they all seem ok.

 

Ground-chassis
Power- to anything hot when the car is started

 

I tapped a wire within six inches from where it is grounded to the chassis. Would it make that much of a difference?

 

use the ground your radio uses.
i had funny outut when i had a bad power connection

 

behind your fuse box there is a black fuse spot that will provide 12volts...tap the power off that. oh yeah i mean the interior fuse box...
