automatic transmission question
if on a auto civic it only allows u to put it in 2 is there a way to make it not shift passed 1 even though it only offers 2 and above gears

if i'm understanding what your saying, you want to be able to stay in 1st gear, even tho the lowest you can go to is D2 correct?
if thats the case, no. when you put it into d2, the car doesn't even start out in 1st gear, it starts out in 2nd gear, and stays in 2nd gear. if you put it in d3, it will start in 1st, then go to 2nd, then to 3rd, and stay at 3rd. then with d4, same as d3, but will go to 4th.
thats why i like my automagic accord, its got d1-d4, so i can start in 1st if i like.
