A friend and I are lookin into building his automatic del-slo. I know, I know what all
of you are thinking just swap out the auto and put in a 5-speed. That's the 1st thing I said when he asked about hookin it up. Anyway, he wants to buy or get a built automatic tranny so we can build the SOHC motor thats in his car. Now with that being said depending on what kind of trans I can find will depend on how hard we push the motor!

Now, my real question is do any of you know where I can get a built automatic transmission for a del-slo?????????? And before you say search, I am searchin but some of you out there in H-T land might know sumthing I dont and lookin sumwhere im not!!!

 

I guess if he wants to be different and has deep pockets, it's his choice.

You can look into the Zex torque converter, but the stall speed is only 3000rpm, which is barely above stock and not worth it.

yea thats one thing he does have and is DEEP POCKETS!!! By helpin him get what he wants helps me get more for my project that has been sittin around for awhile.
