Without doing a auto to manual swap, is it possible for the ES/LS/GS Auto trans to handle the high redline of a B16C5 (ITR) engine? If not, is there anything that can be done to the trans to make it work?

 

Yo man, i hope yer not contemplating putting a B18c5 R motor on an Auto trans, i mean, u can do it, but good luck finding an ECU to run it....

 

that would be B18C5.

 

Yes you could do it but it's not so much that the tranny that would suffer, it's the motor. The auto tranny would suck and rarely ever make it to the VTEC point unless you shifted the gears manually then the tranny would suffer from holding it in at high rpm's.
