I addition to the hatch project I plan to build, my wife has a 91 Dx Auto and wants a swap, but wants to keep it Auto.

Is there an auto tranny that would work with a B18C?

Or should we just use an LS motor and tranny?

 

from what i read *disclaimer* the b18C auto in japan mounts to the same tranny code as the USDM LS, .... AFAIK all the B series motor and tranny are interchangable

 

So you could make a B18c auto? Or would her auto tranny work with it?

 

you can use the b16 cable tranny some of them have lsd.

She HAS to have Auto

 

You will have pain in the butt trying to find DOHC VTEC AUTO ECU, as far as i know, there arent any in the US, which means you have to get if from japan or somewhere.

 

Hmmn. so maybe an LS motor/tranny would be the best bet
