Default Auto to Manual . ECU /???????

i am converting my friend's AT civic to MT. he has got every thing but an ECU. i would like to kno if the car would still start and drive with the AT ECU? What are the problems with doing this ?

it will start fine.. it will probably have an idle issue though and you will throw a code for the lockup solenoid.

go with the mt ecu.

If it's a po6 you can convert it, but you'd have to ask an ecu goon like xenocron.com how to do it. I stay away from wiring.
