auto to manual conversion help
if i were to use the auto harness would i need to keep the clutch switches on the pedel? im putting in the pedels today and it would make it alot easier if there were not switches thanks in advance
1991 crx dx, im using a auto harness but putting the pedals in and the harness doesnt have anything to hook the clutch switch up to them anyways
The right way would be to install a starter relay, [any SPDT or SPST automotive relay will work] and use the CIS, it's easy to wire.
It may be needed to keep the car legal, it depends on the "rules" where you are.
The quick/easy, [and possibly illegal] way is to install a jumper in the "A/T Gear Position Switch" plug in the dash harness to close the starter wire circuit.
You do know you will also have wire the "Back-up Light Switch on the manual transmission up into the car and to the "A/T Gear Position Switch" so you have back -up lights. 94
