Default Attempting to remove motor without cherry picker.

Hey guys, I'm about to take my motor out today.... From the bottom. My friend is letting me borrow a big floor jack to get the car high enough to slide the motor out but I was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to get it out easily. I'm going to be working by myself so that makes it a little more difficult then it has to be...

I was thinking about ways that I would be able to pull the motor out but I kind of hit a brick wall... I dont have any type of board with wheels that I can set it on to slide out..

I was thinking of doing it like this: Set 2 phone boocks underneath the motor, lower the the car until the motor is sitting on the phone books and unbolt the mounts/ lift the car back up... The next problem would be pulling it out from under there so i can push the other one in there..

A couple other notes... I want to do this without taking the entire hub/assembly so thats whhy im going to put it on phone books, so I dont have to drop the car to the floor and risk messing up the suspension.

arite,t hansk guys any ideas would be helpful. Btw this is a D16Y8 im pulling out of a 92 hatch

i dunno, i have done it like that;

take front coilovers out,
drop the car as low as it will go
unbolt the engine and if you dropped it low enough the engine wont hit the floor hard
pick up the car
slide old engine out

when i do it. i do it like this..

jack the car up... get everything off... Linkega, axles.

place the floor jack under the oil pan. BETWEEN the Pan and the tranny.. there is a flat stot..

I jack the motor there.. and un bolt it.. then lower the motor on the jack to the ground..

Then i just pull the jack out.. and the motor is then on the floor...

Then i just pull it there the side... .. and its out..

To get it back it.. slide it under the car... and have someone help get the jack back under the motor.. its not that hard.. then.. jack it back up.. while holding the motor level on the jack... and bolt it up..

They have you have it now.. and what we have told you.. should be about to get her done..

if you remove the tranny first, two ppl can easily lift an engine out of the bay.
