hey guys,

not sure if this is the right place, but does anyone know where i can get this piece? picture below. its the speed-o gear for a ats lsd. the guy i bought the tranny from, took the whole speed sensor out and sold it to someone else, knowing it had an aftermarket lsd in the tranny. the tranny is a ys1 from japan, out of the integras. anyone with info, and could help me, id greatly appreciate it.

 

from what I can see in that image, it looks the exact same as a stock one. Have you tried an OEM one on it? Stuff like this is why I stay away from buying *rare* jdm parts.

 

its smaller than the oem one, i wouldnt be having this problem if the dumb expletive who sold me the transmission, would of left the vehicle speed sensor in the trans. but no he had to take it out , and turn around and sale it to someone else.
it comes with the ats lsd. but im having trouble locating someone who can get me the part.

 

Have you tried contacting carbonetic? They're the only US dealer now for ATS stuff.

ive tried contacting them, they said i had to contact a distributor, so ive called king motorsports, mynes performance, and passwordjdm with no luck. so im tryin to figure something out

thanx ryanr, how long did it take to get it to you? i was told theres a difference between the powersteering and nonpowersteering models. im not sure which one my tranny came from, im nonpowersteering now, not sure if it makes a difference. but ill give her a call. thanx

 

i didnt order it. i ended up returning my LSD to the seller and bought a new one.
I was told it would take 10 days by airmail from japan. you can always just run the car without the gear on the VSS and when you get the ATS VSS, swap it on.
power steering is for DA chassis. they had a weird PS setup where it tapped into the VSS. you need the non-PS version.

 

k cool. im driving the car now,. itd just be nice to have the vss hooked up and speedometer working so i could have fun with the car again.

 

my tranny has ATS 1-5 gears wtih ATS 4.9 FD and quaife LSD, but it's missing the speedo gear

would this solve my problem also?

i removed my speed sensor and there are no visable gears at all inside
