Assembling From Bare Block
I am about to assemble my block from bare crank. I have rebuilt it before but never had the crank out. I was wondering what sort of special things do I need to watch for or what special things do I need that I wouldn't have used before? Any sealants or adheasives. I thank you ahead of time for any input.

well I recently read through a VERY thorough LS/CR-VTEC engine assembly how-to, from beginning to end, from bare crank to fully assembled. But I can't seem to find it at the moment. I don't think I posted in it so it's not in my subscribed topics list.
It should help you out alot if I can find it, even though you may or may not be doing an LS/VTEC build. Most of the procedures shown would still apply to the assembly of most engines.

Yeah. That sounds like it would help a lot. Please post up if you are able to find it. In the meantime I will do some searching myself for it. Thanks again
Just buy a basic engine building book. Something like this
http://www.amazon.com/Engine-Bluepri...1787779&sr=8-4
And then get a HONDA service manual for the engine you are working on with all the TQ specs you and proper TQ'ing sequences you will need.
