whats everybody using?

 

vasoline, engine oil, wd40

 

sealed power assembly lube. thats what it is for.
i use it everywhere. and i pack oil pumps with vasaline.
although tranny fluid and motor oil is ok but if you dont have the engine done quickly, it is good to use something that will stick to things and not run off.

i like a high moly lube

I use the same thing, tho im sure someone on honda-tech will tell me its bad for hondas for some reason

 

no one should ever complain about a moly lube.

that's like saying gas is bad for the fuel injectors...

 

ARP moly lube is my lube of choice.

I also use 30W oil for coating everything that doesn't use the moly lube.

How packed is "packed". Just the rotors or do you force the vaseline down the screen pick-up and up the through the block port?

 

Pistons, piston rings, valves, valve springs....everything.

its a trick i took from building buicks. if you drystart a buick it takes way longer for the oil to reach the pump from the pickup. basically it helps draw up oil a little faster. been doin it on small blocks too.
