Can anyone confirm that the b16a ARP head studs are the correct application for a b17a? Both motors have the PR3 head, so the only difference is the block.

 

I have never used ARP head studs on a B17A, but seeing as how the motors are 99% the same, I would guarentee that they will work. The head thickness is the same, so the only variable that remains is if the head bolts in the block are the same thread between the two motors, and ai am 100% positve that those are the same...in the end, yes, they will fit.

 

I currently have a set for b18c1. The problem with them is they bottom out in the block to soon, and there is not enough thread left on top in the head. I believe it could be solved by cutting 4 or 5 threads off the bottom where to goes into the block, but I need a new set anyways.

 

they should be the same!! also, according to http://www.optauto.com , the part number for the new B16A head studs are 208-4601
