bigger head studs?

bigger head studs?
I remember Vince(GEM)saying something tha tthe ARP head studs can only hold so much pressure before they start to let the head lift. He also said that Most Pro guys are now upgrading to a larger(fatter)head stud combo. Does anybody have any info on them? Where can I get these head studs? Is all that is needed is to enlarge the holes in the block/head and retap threads?

You want to use the Ford 302 studs. I believe they are 1/2" diameter. There is enough meat in the block to retap but it must be done on a mill. Talk to ARP and they will match you up with the proper length. The head holes will have to be enlarged slightly (also with precision)

some will say that if you lifting a head with stock arp's, you got something else wrong. People can tell you all the secrets in the world, doesnt mean it will help you any.
