Default Apexi VAFC-2 question

Ok one of my friends is about to do a mini me swap and was wodering if there is a way to rune the apexi VAFC-2 so that he could use a non vtec ecu but have the VAFC-2 to engage his vtec cuz there were some other kids saying yea it can and others saying no. One kid said if he was to run the vtec wiring to the VAFC-2 it would make vtec engage even tho he has the stock crx si ecu in it.

Sell the VAFC.

Get a chipped P28 ECU.

Tune with Crome.
