APEXi V-AFC Question about the vtec controll
I just swapped a B16a into my CRX, but i did not get the ecu with the motor. I'm currently using an LS ecu from the last engine i had in, and needless to say i have no vtec
I'm seriously thinking about getting the APEXi V-AFC, but i need to know if it is able to work with no factory Vtec signal. If anyone has experiance with this, let me know.

It will work without a factory VTEC signal. I had VTEC with my old LS ECU before my PR3 came back from chipping.
good luck,

good luck,

Exactly what i wanted to hear
BTW, what wiring diagram did you use to hook it up? I assume it comes with basic instructions, but not for the LS... Did you just have to map out the wires with your repair manual?

We have prototyped and tested an upgrade the OBD I Integra LS/GS P74/75 ecu to give it VTEC capabilities. Basically we turn it into a GSR ecu less the knock sensor. We add the VTEC tables to the software and can even give it secondary intake runner control.
This is intended for use with a Hondata stage 2 system. So for about $390 for the Hondata stage 2 system plus $90 for the upgrade to your ecu you get:
Factory VTEC controller, Shift Light, raised rev limit. This VTEC control adjusts ignition and fuelling over 10 load and 20 RPM points for each camshaft - so os better than any other VTEC control on the market.
For another $150 you can have a 3 stage rev limit.
