ok i just got this controller and i installed it and my car runns like ****
......my set up is this....
-jdm B16, sir 1 intake manifold, chipped p30 (custom program from fastrack in beverton, or), dc 4-2-1 header, str block guard, aem adjustable cams (intake set 3 degrees advanced, exhaust is set at stock), all stock gaskets, ngk laser cut plugs.
anyway, my problem is that the car bucks, it runs REALLY ritch (i tried leaning it out on the low side and no change), i went to drive it a mile to the gas station and it backfired, so i took it right home. i use 92 octane from chevron religiously. can someone please help me out? im going to re-set all of my settings tomorrow. does anyone have any other suggestions? could my ecu be conflicting with the settings from the controller? thanx in advance.

check the map sensor wiring make sure its right.
everyting needs to be zeroed out and all the car settings need to be right. make sure thats all straigt and then start looking at whats going on (vac setting should show -300 to -400 at idle and close to 0 at WOT.
if those are wrong, recheck your wiring or if this is in an EF the vaccum lines between the MAP and the manifold.
good luck

The first thing I would do would be check all the sensor voltages...
Make sure you are getting readings from all of your sensors etc... (it says how to do this in the manual)
Then, go from there...if you are getting readings from all of your sensors, initialize it completely and go through the initial settings individually...ie car select, 4 cyl throttle up, etc...
If you aren't getting all the right sensor readings then I would think it would be the wireing...I know it's a pain but go back through all the connections with the ecu. I would make sure the wires are soldered in the correct order at the ecu (some need to be closer to the ecu than others)
I have heard of people accidentally switching two wires and putting one closer to the ecu when they shouldn't have and it making their car run like ****...
Good luck, it shouldn't be that big of a deal getting your car to run correctly!

i double checked the wiring and it is all good there. i also re set all of the settings and i got the same effect. my sensors are reading but they are high...the pressure is in the negatives, the throt is close to zero when the throttle is closed and it is at 4.5ect. when open. the cod is at 5 something....all of the readings in the apexi booklet are at or near 1.5??? could that be my problem. what do you mean by map sensor wiring??? i have double and tripple checked the wiring. thanx for all the help.

maybe it is me....i read the manuel. i think it is the connectors i used...cuz now the unit is sensitive and if i hit a bump it wants to stall...so im going to re do the wiring better.
