Default anyone w/integras.. what is this??

when i start up the car for the first time in the day, or after it has cooled down extensively, there is a momentary mechanical/electronic noise comming form the front passengers side of the car.. kinda like a (brrrrraaaa...) it only lasts a second or two right after start up. however, yesterday it lasted alot longer (5-6 seconds) and the repeated itself for another second or two after that. what is this?! has anyone heard of such a thing? i though it was normal since it always did it, but now its doing it more. thanks

Rumor has it that that is the ABS pump priming....I don't know for sure, but my R does it too.

Check your your ABS fluid. Pretty sure that it, so fill it up and the noise should go away. I have two integras and they both have had that problem.

I agree with everyone on the ABS motor. Mine does it at start up and time length is variable. Sometimes it even makes noise while driving.

Where do you put the fluid in....mines starting to act up and will make that grinding sound alot then the ABS light just comes on.

Pop your hood, the abs motor is on the left handside (where your intake filter is banging against, at least on mine) there is a little grey plastic cap on top of it-- open it and refill the fluid there. The sound should go away until the fluid is low again--there must be a leak somewhere but noone knows yet.

A lot of times the ABS unit needs to be bled.

97+ cars have the newer ABS which shouldnt need that though,

I have two '96s and they both have that problem. Weird huh! Maybe there's a recall on these.

ABS pump. No big deal just bleed the high pressure lines.
