anyone use a vacuum pump for brake bleeding?
my first time using the pump. im sure there was no air in the brake lines, but as i was pumping there was a ton of bubbles that wouldnt go away.
when i went back to conventional bleeding, the bubbles were gone.
wondering if bubbles in the line is normal when using a vacuum pump. the instructions say its done when bubbles go into the catch can, which they did
anyone have experience with this? thanks

I've done that. Air gets sucked in through the threads of the bleeder screw. I smeared a great big gob of grease around the base of the bleed screw. That kept the air out.
thanks guys. it makes sense that air was going through the attachment b/c a different amount was getting through with different fittings. i should have clamped it down
i hope it wasnt going through the threads
