Default Me=Retard, tons of air in brake line.. help!

Ok, first off, i am a dumb ***, i was going to flush out all the fluid in my brake system.. started with the back right, as should be.. but, as i said, i am a dumb ***, and forgot to close the valve, and went to pumpin away some more.. noticed nothing was coming out, pedal, is floppy as hell, and rememberd, oh hey.. haha, *kicks self in ****** so any way, i grabbed another person, and had them pump, me open and close the valve, but, after like 30 minutes, still nothing came out, a little spurt of air, every once and a while.. but thats it.. how long should i expect this to take! is there an easier way?? any suggestions, would be great!

Well if you got tons of air in there it might take awhile.

i don't understand what you were doing, but if you were going to flush everything out, just siphon out the fluid in the master cylinder, open up a bleed valve and pump away. repeat at all 4 corners. after all the fluid is out of your brake system, fill up the m/c with some fluid and pump away to get all the fluid throug the system and have the air sitting right at the bleeder valves. open valves and commence bleeding

edit: keep you eyes on the fluid level in your m/c

oh..well then get a friend to help you out..you have a lot of pumpin to do, but look at it this way, you're getting all of the air out and putting new brake fluid in..

well, you have to submerge the tube you have coming from the bleeder valve submerged in a bottle of fluid, so that when you pump, brake fluid goes back in

how plausible is this?? so, i have been at this for over 2 hrs now.. still, air coming out.. is it possible something more is wrong? like, my MC is bad, or something is plugged so that no fluid can get through?? because, this is just insane, there is no way, that much air can be in these small tubes..

you keep adding fluid...right? because if you're not..you'll end up pumping air through the lines..

did you let all of the fluid drain our of the MC reservoir? If so, you need to bleed the MC first of all. You can do this (without taking it out) by having someone pump the brakes, while you crack the nut on the MC, just like you would bleed each wheel, closing it when they are letting the pedal lift up.

Maybe you should describe what exactly you are doing, since you might be over-looking something simple. Bleeding brakes does suck.

simple but messy, get a BIG pan underneath and some catlitter around
get a friend have him pump and hold
Then while he holding open valve one turn
push on valve where air is coming out from (will work as a one way valve)
then have friend start pumping till you get fluid and no air (you will notice it easily) then have friend push brake in all the way and close valve
then onto next wheel

well, yes, in theory, this should be very simple, however, something is most defiently not going the way it should be for me.. And I have no clue as to what would cause endless amounts of air to keep coming out of the brake line.. The Res is full, all other valves are closed, it makes no sense.. but, i need ideas..
