Information about my car is listed at the end of this post.
My car starts up great most of the time on cold starts, but after it has warmed up, it will idle anywhere from 550 to 950 rpm in a rough (fluctuating) manner. The engine rpm just wanders around in this rpm range, of course, when idling.
Then, I have an inconvenient cruising engine miss. The rpm range that this "misfire" occurs (while cruising) is about 2800 to 3000 rpm. It seems to cosistently do this while in this rpm range. You really have to be paying attention in order to detect the miss, because it is somewhat of a faint miss. Man it's hard to maintain a steady cruising speed with this thing missing like this, because this particular rpm range is what I cruise at on local roads.
As of now, if I were to take a guess, I would say it was the IACV, or the distributor. I've seen alot of threads started which describe problems similar to mine, but the threads always ended without a fix to the problem.
My car info:
-91 Integra RS
-B16a from Xsi
-OBD0 PR3
-manual transmission
Thankyou!

Ive had this similar problem.... turned out my timing belt tensioner gave out and the belt was loose. prolly wont be the same for you but just maybe... the loose belt was causing delays in the cams which led to delays of the spark etc.
sound like the dizzy could be cutting out on you i had a similar problem my car would jump around at idle then with gas it would rev to about 2-2500 rpm then start cutting out then open up at about 3k rpm replaced the dizzy and it cleared up good luck
