Hey,
I just bought a used '96 CX. I had Honda mechanics check it out and all it needed was an axle seal and upper ball joint. I drive it around for quite a while and there are no problems. The next day I drive it to work: no problems.
I don't drive the car again until a week later. I drive around the city for about an hour, then start a 1 1/2 hour drive home. About 20 mins into the trip, my CEL comes on. I stop about 20 mins later to go to a store. I shut off the car, go in the store, come back about 5 mins later. I turn on the car, no CEL, no problems.
The same thing happens about a week later after about an hour a normal driving and a few hard runs.
Any ideas what it could be? I was told it might be something with fuel pressure...there does not seem to be any changes in the cars behaviour when the CEL comes on.
??

no, not fuel pressue just rember next time that you get the cel to jump the service connector and to see what the code is. if it goes off and on it could or prolly is a sesor going bad. but jumping it will tell you.

its a 96 obd 2 car there is no jump out !!!! you will need an obd 2 scanner to read the code.
i'm OBD2, there is a jumper. they all have one, it's under the glovebox in a green protector. just connect the two with a wire and you'll get the code.
