My 92 Si is suffering from another no-start. I've resoldered the Main fuel Relay and replaced the Ignition Control Module about a month ago.

-The engine cranks but won't start.

-No spark from the ignition coil.

-I used a test light to check for Injector Pulse and there is.

Could it be the ICM again? I remember reading about people having trouble with this, and recall one person having to replace theirs a few times. Does Honda sell faulty ICMs? Do places like Napa/Autozone sell a different brand? It did this a week ago but after about 10 minutes the engine started. Maybe it's the relay and i ought to just buy one. Hate to waste $50 tho, any help is appreciated.

the only time my Si wouldn't start, it was the coil. I had it serviced by Honda since they do not sell the coil alone, only the complete distributor. $125 for the service or $325 +/- for a new distributor. It pained me to have a technician put their filthy hands on my baby, but I just needed to get it running immediately.

 

Sounds like your ignitor has gone bad

 

If you have pulse at the neg terminal of the coil it is your coil that is bad.
No pulse means ignitor.

And no you dont have to replace the whole dist like the other post said. You can buy them at autozone or advance auto for like 90 bucks, Really easy to change
