Default anti-theft idea

i went to a local go-kart track this weekend, and on the gas powered go carts they have a remote control that will put it on "slow mode" it seems like it just retards the timing a lot or something... but i was wondering if i could make a thing that would stop the car from being drivable using a cell phone like transmitter that would kill the engine or something like that... would it work?

Some anti-theft systems are starting to appear in Europe working in combination with GPS enabling you to either stall the engine, or even give away the exact location of your car at any given time, enabling you to either call the cops, or even go out and beat the hell out of the guy who stole your car. I think they are soon to equip top of the line BMWs and Mercedes.

if your going to the trouble of wiring up a remote to disable or whatever, why not go the extra step and make sure they never steal any of your stuff or anyone elses stuff.
heres what you do.

first get an extra cel phone, some flat steel, 2liters of diesel, and some garden fertilizer the phosporous (chemical) type.

weld up a small box that easily fits under your seat and get zip ties ready to fasten it under the drivers seat.
mix up the diesel and fertilizer, dont have to worry about being careful its really stable. then make a small charge to detnate the mixture. hook up the cell phone to a piece of wire with sulphur and magnesium on it so it will ignite the charge and set off the mixture.

the last part of the plan is to always keep your keys locked on your cel phone and also hope nobody ever calls the wrong number.

this is assured to fix your problem

derek

Ahhh an amonium nitrate and fuel oil (AMFO) bomb, the perfect cure for anything... Instead of the piece of wire just get a blasting cap or Prima cord.... The more you can detonate at once the better.. Your car will only get jacked once... Peace

Years ago Alpine made a thing that interfaced with your alarm (an 8080 I believe, the device was called the Communicator) that when connected to your car phone you could control anything in the car that was hooked up to the alarm. Windows, trunk, heater, auto start, etc. You could start your car from Europe if you wanted to.
