Hey everyone, yesterday I was working on my car cosmetically, and had my car sitting in the garage for the whole weekend. Anyways I had 3 bars of gas left turned my car on to warm it up, sounded fine, then like 5-6 minutes later it stalled on itself, I have been having this problem for a while but never happened durning the warm up. Not sure I think its my timing, anyone have a clue? I have a JDM F22B DOHC. It happens when I also back out of my driveway, and my drive way has a steep incline. But usually I just give it a little gas to prevent it from bogging out. Any help would be great thanks.

 

Whens the last time you changed the fuel filter??

 

Never did since I got the car about a year and a half ago. And not sure if the previous owners did, because many things that I replaced looked like the ORIGINAL factory part from when the car was made . But the engine sputters like the idle is fucked up, so I assume its the timing, anyothers want to chime in?

 

Dirty air filter? I just cleaned mine with K&N filter cleaner, DAMN did alot of dirt come out.

 

check your fast idle valve

 

Don't know where that is located, if you could post a pic or diagram that would be great thanks.

 

check for fuel leaks around injectors and any vacume leak could have a bad 02 sensor and when it goes into open loop idle the car gets too rich or lean and stalls out.
