Default antenna problem...:(

the other day i shut off my car and i noticed that my power antenna didnt go down... i kept tryin and it still wouldnt go down it always stays up now car on or off.....i tryed forcing it down and it still wouldnt go down lol....anyone know a cure to this problem? btw i have a 3rd gen teg ls...99

yeah they suck those antennas always break. the best thing to do is either buy the part from acura (the antenna with the reel on it) and put it in or buy a whole one from a junkyard and stuff what i did on my 91 ls is bought the s2000 antenna and no more problems

The plastic part of your mast may have snapped. When my mast broke I got a replacement off eBay for $25.

is the antanee motor sticking on? if so dont be surprised if the car wont start in the morning.

its been up for two days and my car has started up every morning with no probs......its just that tha damn antennna wont go down.....im faded

i have seen lots of things like it. antanne motors sticks on, drawing current with the key off. you leave the car overnight, and the battery gets drained. go to the car in the morning and it wont start. parasitic draw.

well i guess im lookin to replace with a s2000 antena what steps would i take to do that? is it hard? how much will it cost?

In this situation this probably isn't the case. The most likely problem is that the antenna mast is broken or snapped.
