Another VAFC problem...(yes I searched)
So I installed my VAFC today and I'm having a couple problems.
First, upon initial setup the voltage on all three sensors is 5.115V.
It is definately not incorrect wiring, I checked the wiring so many times I lost track.
I also had someone more experienced check the wiring for me.
After researching a little, I found that it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and start the car; which leads to the next problem.
Second, the throttle percentage does not move at all. It stays at a constant 100%.
This could be a result of the high voltage, but once again the wiring is correct.
I didn't check to see if vtec would engage because I didn't want to rev very high until tuning.
Also the cel shows map sensor fault when the VAFC is hooked up. When I bypass the VAFC on the Pressure line the cel goes away.
The VAFC is in my center console, under the armrest. I extended the wires using a little thicker wires than what comes with the unit. So, I was thinking this could be the problem (the continuity change). The only other thing I can think of is that the VAFC is bad.
Please help me out. Thanks in advance ~ Jake

How did you connect all your wires? Tap splices, solder, wrap wires around each other? I used tap splices, and when I was doing my final check I noticed that one of the tap splices had let the ig power supply get away...
I'd say one of your grounds is not making good connection, but I don't know enough about electronics to stake my reputation on it. I know you probably did already, but are you sure that you put the brown and black grounds on right? Black closer to harness, brown closer to ecu?

The instructions don't say to solder them, just splice 'em...
Soldering is a good idea though. I think I'm going to go thru and redo mine. I went over a bump today and my RPM stopped displaying

man this problem may also be from the operating system of your VAFC... request for an updated opretaing system...
or maybe two wiring instructions come with VAFC... the instruction manual book that shows it and a piece of paper that corrects the book... do the wiring from the paper man...

All of the wires are soldered except the ones that are shown in the manual as being connected with the provided crimp connectors.
The Grounds are definately correct, and are soldered as well.

I did download both the original and updated manuals from the apexi site, they matched the directions I already had. I will contact them about the possibility of an OS problem though, thanks for the input guys.
Any more ideas?
