Is this an alternator issue?
Sup all. Here's my situation.
I've relocated the battery in my 91 Si a good while ago, Just recently, I drove my car home from a friend's house and after 15 minutes or so it started to run rough, and the dash lights started to get brownish dim, like the alternbator wasn't putting out enough juice.
I've got a good Optima bettery that I jsut bought about 2 months ago, and it seems to still charge fine until I drive for 10 mintues or so, but once it's been running for a little while, and the car warms up, the lights start to dim, and the car runs rough.
Any suggestions before I blow $50 and a few hours on a brush replacement?

Yeah it's gotta be your Ground!..
Whatever... How can a do such a thing..
Your problem could be a lot of things.. But I'd check the Alternator first..
Take your Multimeter and check for Voltage at the Battery.. Is it sitting at about 13.8V to 14.8V?.. If not, it's either your output wire from the Alternator to the Battery has excessive resistance or your Alernator isn't putting out enough..
To check the Alternator, just check Voltage coming out of the Alternator.. It should read the same as at the Battery.. If not, it could be the Voltage Regulator..
Kinda busy now..
Let me know how it goes..

You must be thinking about a Starter.. Starters have an Armature with Carbon Brushes riding on the Commutator bars.. Alternators have a Rotor with Carbon Brushes riding on the Slip Rings..
And please.. I don't need to pretend.. That's because I've worked hard to understand how the Starting and Charging Systems work..
