Default All motor issues :( Please help...

I am trying to get my all motor B18C running normal. Here are the problems:

1. Motor sounds like a Diesel truck...\
---First tried adjusting timing belt and checked timing--its good
---Second I adjusted the valve lash to spec .006 intake .008 exhaust
---Inspected cam gears for any signs of rubbing against anything---nope

2. While trying to test drive down the street, the car loses power, sputters, and dies. No ecu codes displaying, nothing... just dies. I try to start it up again and it wont turn over. Temperature guage is reading normal (no overheating issues) however, I am not sure what the oil pressure is. After about a few minutes, I am able to get the car started again....it runs like ****, goes about 50 feet, then starts to lose power and die. Any sugg??

Motor specs:
95 B18C1 freshly rebuilt
JDM ITR pistons
new bearings, seals, etc
dual valve springs/titanium retainers
RS Camshafts
AEM cam gears
RC 440 injectors w/ fuel pressure set to 56
Hondata s200 with a base program for this setup
p28 ECU
Skunk2 IM

At a loss right now...waiting to call RS Machine in the morning for some assitance with this issue. Please help...Thank You!

Sounds like you're running rich as hell, or the alternator is not charging the battery fully.

Make sure the battery terminals are security fastened, and alternator belt is tensioned properly.

Try lowering your fuel pressure to about 50 PSI at WOT as well.

Check your plugs and take a picture, what color are they? Brown, White, Black?

Keep us posted.

UPDATE:
Okay...the problem was the tensioner came loose and the timing belt slipped a few teeth...When I took off the timing belt, I noticed the exhaust cam gear was loose!!! (hence the chatter) I re-torqued the cam gears, put the timing belt back on, tightened the tensioner really really good and *walla* car runs again and this time no diesel sound!

Lesson for the day: Always make sure you torque down the Cam gears---

Now the only problem I have is the cams are so big, the car wont idle very long without stalling. I tried bumping up the idle with the idle screw and it didnt help...any ideas? I turned down the fuel pressure to 50psi...

Okay, now I tried to bump up the idle some more with the idle screw..didnt help much. I know these cams can have a smooth idle, but I need to get the hondata tuned, the program on there now is a base map. I will check for vaccum leaks tommorrow to see how it goes--could be the problem as well...Thanks guys for your help on this...hopefully soon it will be driveable enough to break in.
