Default are all honda lower ball joints the same...

i took my knuckle to the machine shop to get the lower ball joint replaced. he got the new one put in, but it didn't go down enough to get the snap ring on there. he said it wouldn't go any farther down. he told me to take it to some dude he knew at a gas station so i did. the dude at the gas station said the same thing, "it won't go down any farther but it'll be fine." will it be ok w/o the snap ring? i ordered this ball joint from majestic honda. are they all the same?

i would check the part numbers at honda. i have used integra knuckles on my sol and replaced the ball joints... but i used the ball joints that matched with the knuckle.. not the chassis.

new ball joints from Honda do not use the snap ring. Discard it.
