Default Alignment question....do I need another one?

I am planning on buying some new wheels that are 6.5" wide, as opposed to the stock wheels, which are narrower. If I got an alignment with the stock wheels, and then purchased the new wheels, and had them balanced and mounted. Would I need to get another alignment for the new wheels, or would I be OK?

Thanks

So to conclude this post if he got an alignment on the stock steelies wheels at a shop and then wanted to put on the new wheels/tire combo it would not need a new alignment? For instance, if he wanted to run zero toe in the rear and a slight toe out front the new wheels wouldn't affect it correct?

see.. if you were to invest in a alignment package at your local tire shop or whatnot (ie. America's Tires, Just Tires, Firestone -the shops we have on the west coast here-) you pay .. what a $100 or so .. and you get a LIFE TIME FREE alignment from that shop for that specific car you own.. as long as you own it~ if you invest in one of those.. you wouldn't have to ask that question.. you would just go get it~ a friend of mine gets his alignment once a week, because something about him boosting a lot with his turbo and driving hard and it throws his alignment off~ as for me.. i get mine done once a month.. it helps a lot with tire conservation~

but to answer your question.. i wouldn't think you would need a tire alignment if you just got it recently~ if you install your wheels and tires and you see a noticable pull to the right or left (right most of the time).. get the alignment ASAP~

What in the hell? There is no way your friend should need an alignment once a week unless it was a full blown drag car that was driven on the street HARD. I see no need for it. Why would the shop do that anyway? They are losing money. Yes it is a lifetime alignment guarantee but they DUMB to keep re-aligning the car if nothing is wrong with it in the first place. They can just say (even if it was out of whack) that the suspension components must be replaced due to failure or what have you.

yea but that's what's great about the deal~ he got that package thru Firestone and gets his wheels aligned just for the heck of it~ its a fully built GST and its daily driven.. he drives something like.. 100-200 miles a day or something.. he drives a LOT~ anywho.. he just takes advantage of the package deal and gets it once a week if he can~ sometimes he misses it but he tries to go once a week or was it every other week?? iono but he goes a lot~ 2-3 maybe even 4 times a month~ anywho... its a package that Firestone and some other tire companies offer just to draw in more customers because tire companies are in big competition~ they're not really loosing money unless EVERYBODY did that.. not everybody has the time or patience to get the tires aligned that often~ but yea.. that's what he does!!
