Default Alignment can alleviate camber problems?

I was getting an oil change today and noticed inner tire wear and the guy doing the oil change said that an alignment can fix it since its so miniscule(sp?). I didn't get one after I lowered it btw, yes I know I should have. Is that BS or true?
