Air conditioning and intake question
My air conditioner quick working. Had 4 different shops look at it and all said same thing bad expansion valve. Today put on new shart air intake. All I did was disconnect battery, remove old intake, install new intake, hook up battery. Now my air conditioning seems to be working like it always has. Just ran in town and on highway for over an hour and a/c worked. Used to only work for few minutes. Any Ideas.

now, lets see if they say that you expansion valve has gone bad there could be multiple signs, did they give you the reason WHY they thought it was your expansion valve?
maybe if you know why they said it then we can figure out if you changing the air intake has anything to do with your a/c

okay low side is WAY too low
then your expansion valve is or was probably clogged, the way you can visually check if thats true is on the txv (thermostatic expansion valve) inlet side, it would be frosted.
could also be the txv temperature sensor is leaking, you could fix that with either cleaning or replacing, and to check that one visually, you would see where the txv's outlet side is chilled.
also you high side is pretty high too, so to me it would seem that there is a blockage, if your a/c is working perfectly now then maybe you just got lucky, but if it continues to give you problems, you need to take the car and get that problem fixed because too much pressure can damage components.
maybe i can do a little more research for you and see if the intake could have any effect at all on your situation.
you know it could be a coincidence that it happened to start working when you installed your intake though

maybe because you drove with the AC the high pressures unclogged the valve, it happends, but it will get clogged again when the residues get back to it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
My advice: change the valve and do an AC service, that way you know the car is good.
