Default Air conditioning discharge proceedure

Alright guys, I just bought a '92 VX Hatchback. I'm putting a motor in it this weekend, and need to know how to go about discharging the A/C system. I beieve it's R-12, I didn't see an R-134a sticker anywhere. What do I do?

Default Re: Air conditioning discharge proceedure (Shiroi Hakucho)

Take it to any shop that works on AC systems. They will evacuate the system. They should do it for free since they filter it and resell it at outrageous prices to anyone who needs a recharge. BTW, they need to be licensed to do this or the wrath of the EPA will come down on them and they will lose their first born male child.
