AHHH! Installed CTR Ecu on my B16a and the car is going nuts!
What do i do? The car should run well , but its not at all. Its idling at around 200 and i cant get it up, and when i drive its really holding back, what do i do?

Its in a 97 civic ex obd2 with a B16a swap all obd2 converted, distrib and all.....so i was running a obd p72 ecu and its ok but runs a lil rich and v-tec comes in twice which is annoying so i got a CTR ecu ... and now its running like *** and almost stalling, HELP!!!
HELP when i start it just revs up then drops like to 200 and is shakin like its gonna stall but doesnt and then when i drive it holds back like no other, wtf is should be ok.
CTR ECU is not really plug in play like most think.
It's designed for a different engine, with different fuel curves, timing, and octane.

Are you sure it's a CTR ECU? It should run fine on a factory B16A provided all wiring is good.
If you are still OBD2A being you have a 97 Civic EX, it should plug in.
CTR ECU = PCT.
Verify you even have a CTR ecu.

should i give it some time to learn or does it not need it? cause the gsr works once i put it in.
I would suggest putting in the P72 in again. There is something that is going on because the PCT should run just fine.
i did right after and the p72 ran fine then i put in the cTR ecu and it was all jacked up, its scaring me wtf?

Vtec comes in twice??? really thats news to me... only motor which had two vtec stages was the JDM D15b (96+). GSR ecu engages vtec at 4.4krpm or so and then at 5.7k or so secondary butterflies (but only if you have the GSR motor/intake)
i would personally check your timing, I have found that JDM ecus tend to have much more timing advance and run leaner then usual.

i didnt mean x2, i ment like part opens at 4,400 and then fully later. So u can hear it engage earlier and then louder later.
But im wondering why the CTR ecu wont work at all it just like drops rpms and stalls and then runs like ****.

sell that pct and get a chipped p28.
that ecu is way to agressive for a mostly or stock b16. Sounds to me that your rpm's drop so low because your running rich as hell at idle

chipped p28 then conversion harness gonna run me around $400 and i dont wanna spend that kinda money cause im sellin my car right now.
Yea it seems like im running way to rich could i undo it with a FPR and make it run leaner?

Do you guys think i should get a 96 Del Sol DOHC obd2 one?
Im just surprised the CTR ecu wont work at all.......it doesnt ru nthat much higher compression, the torque #'s are similar, only more hp.
