After Swap Q's?
I've had my JDM B18C (GSR) swap in my 2000 CX for about 2 weeks. I've come across a few things that I'm not sure what to look into. Out of first gear I have to rev like 2k or so to leave from a complete stop and feather it out....If I don't let it out smoothly or didn't rev high enough and just catch first it totally bogs and I inch across the intersection until i finally get to around like 2k then it starts to take off. Is there something I should look into here....or do I have to get used to the new engine being that all power is up top?
Also there's times where I floor it and all of a sudden the RPM's seem to stop climbing....if I let off the gas and give it again it seems to act normal. Today I was driving and it felt like I culdn't go any further then 2.5k in first if I kept it floored my exhaust seemed to get louder but it just wouldn't budge so I'd shift to 2nd and same problem. It sounded like I should be taking off but i was like stuck at the RPM. Sometimes when I downshift a corner into 2nd I'll floor it also and it'll stick around 4.5k or so where the butterflies should open but it like takes a second or two to get it there....is there anything I should be checking....the only ghetto thing on my stock engine is the intake but that can't be causing all of this. Is anything pointing to TPS............?
I need some advice or reassurance never was in a car with a b series before I swapped.
