Default After rebuild, still smokes...

Hey guys, I need some advice, I just had the motor rebuilt and it still smokes. Where should I start troubleshooting? I'm pretty bummed and tired/stressed from this stuff, plus finals are coming up, so I could use some quick advice on where the prob might be coming from...thanks...

When does it smoke? How much does it smoke? What color is the smoke?

Essentially, it still smokes the same way it did before my rebuild ie, right at startup, a huge puff of smoke will shoot out. At WOT, the smoke will go from blue to black. Forget about even driving past VTEC and into redline, I would kill all the ppl behind me with smoke related disease. Even if I just punch the pedal while cruising, smoke will come out. I have rebuilt the bottom end, new pistons, rings etc. It's frustrating the hell out of me right now...I just want my car up and running and not smoking...if you or anyone else has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks...

wow at first i was going to ay that maybe the rings and gaskets just need some break in time to seat and completely seal but from what your saying sounds like you may have a bigger proble. just start with a compression and leak down test, find out what is being burned, oil, coolant etc.and go from there.... good luck!
